CHILTERN FIREHOUSE
The Chiltern Firehouse on Chiltern Street in Marylebone has fast become the newest, trendiest high-end restaurant in London.
I started with finger food: Spicy tuna deviled eggs.
The best I ever ate.
Accompanied by a glass of French Sancerre.
Main course, their signature dish: Chargrilled Iberico pork with raw and roasted turnips and sautéed watercress, a side of smoked cream corn.
Unbelievable.
Accompanied by a Willamette Valley (Oregon) pinot noir.
Finally: Dark chocolate tarte with toasted hazelnut ice cream.
Accompanied by a glass of Tokaji (Hungarian) dessert wine, perfectly chilled.
World class.
Maybe one of the finest meals of my life.
Add exceptional service.
Kudos, especially, to Martin H, my server.
