Thank you, Erik Russell, for a) taking this photograph, and b) providing it to me thirty years later.
I believe it was taken at a pub (The Shepherd's Crook?) in Aston Rowant, Oxfordshire (where Miles lived) during a break in an interview I did for Rolling Stone.
(Hard to believe Miles has been gone 26 years this month.)
