BACK HOME...

And my shadow...

He even helps me fight jet lag...

RETURN TO MARYLEBONE

...and just in time for their joyous Christmas street fair!

Nine days of learning and wonderment.

YORK BY NIGHT

Harkers.

Awesome pub.

With a whole spectrum of my favorite gin...

Seen around town...

My kind of Guy.

They don't have to wait until after Thanksgiving, because they don't have one.

The key is to give thanks every day.

A shop devoted to Teddy Bears

This is what contentment looks like

Singing along to James Taylor and Billy Joel tunes...

...over a nightcap of black velvet...

...in the Punch Bowl pub.

YORK MINSTER

Built 637 A.D.

The largest cathedral in northern Europe.

YORK BY DAY

It is impossible not to be enchanted by York.

St. Wilfred's

YORK: THE JUDGE'S LODGING

Historic.

And reputedly haunted.

Especially this top-floor room...

...with its view of York Minster.

York is said to be the most haunted city in Britain, maybe all of Europe.

AND ONWARD FURTHER...

A 735 mile loop (in four days) around England.

The Shambles

A jumble of roads around Manchester and Leeds, to York.

Maybe the most magical, wondrous and enchanting place I've ever experienced.

THE LAKE DISTRICT

Room with a view

Ullswater Lake.

Near Askham, Howtown, and Penrith, in Cumbria.

Unlike the USA, the UK is serious about gin, with craftsman gins (botanicals and herbs) sprouting up everywhere, including The Lake District, where the gin of choice is Bedrock.
