About Me

My photo
As a novelist, RE inhabits a world of master spies, billionaires, royalty and delusional lunatics. In reality, he keeps the same company. Three decades ago a petition to the U.S. Supreme Court called him "mysterious" and questioned his "actual existence." RE himself continues to question actual existence. He began in the information biz as a London-based correspondent and evolved from journalism to private-sector intelligence, which led to ten years' undercover for FBI Counterintelligence. For five years thereafter RE was spymaster to Prince Albert II of Monaco and created Monaco's first intelligence service. Resettling in Santa Barbara he became "The Investigator" for the SB News-Press. In 2016, RE returned to fiction with Motional Blur, acclaimed by T.C. Boyle as "A nonpareil road novel that winds up packing an emotional punch." 2019 brought the publication of Last Flight Out, a novel about time traveling and quantum entanglements. RE's latest novel, Book Drive, was published in July 2021.
